Shooting Horses

Welcome to the Video web page for the documentary "Shooting Horses". At the beginning of 2008 Ania Winiarska had the joy and privilege of following 37 budding performers in preparation for the stage show "They Shoot Horses Don't They?" The event was the collaboration of the Citizens Community Company, Turning Point Scotland and Citizens Young Company. Ania followed the cast for 5 weeks leading up to the performance, where she captured some truly wonderful moments in the lives of those involved, many of whom had never performed on stage before. The aim of the Glasgow theatre company was to develop confidence in the performers and an experience of performing on stage. Shooting Horses is a delightful heart warming story which charts the transformation that took place over this time.
